Abstract   The survival rate of Hodgkins disease has been semarkably improved with ehemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. But the risk or incidence of secondary cancers including leukemia, non- Hodgkin's lymphoma and lung cacer was significantly increased. Non-Hodgkins lymphoma is relatively common in patients with Hodgkin's disease receiving both radiotherapy and chemo- therapy. We experienced a case of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma developed after radiotherapy for Hodg- kin's disease. A 68-year-old man was admitted due to right cervical mass on Jan, 1991. He had a history of radiation therapy for Hodgkin's disease(mixed cellularity, stage I) in Sep, 1985. After 5 years and 4 months, he developed lymph node enlargement of neck and inguinal area. The biopsy of lymph node revealed non-Hodgkin's lymphoma(diffuse large cell, stage III,). He was treated with MACOP-B chemotherapy resulted in comPlete remission. Now he is good health without evidence of recurrence during 6 months. Non-Hodgkins lymphoma should be considered and confirmed pathologically when relapse is suspected in long term survivors of Hodgkins disease.
